Description of Service
Free Media Tools provides free, browser-based tools for processing media files including:
- •Video compression, conversion, trimming, and editing
- •Image compression, conversion, resizing, and editing
- •PDF compression, merging, splitting, and manipulation
- •Text processing and utility tools
- •Educational content and tutorials
Important: Client-Side Processing
All file processing happens locally in your browser using WebAssembly technology. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. We do not have access to your files.
Your Responsibilities
Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- ✗Use the Service for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
- ✗Process files that contain illegal, harmful, or offensive content
- ✗Process files that infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- ✗Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or damage the Service
- ✗Use automated tools to scrape, copy, or download content from the Service
- ✗Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- ✗Remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the files you process using our tools. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to process any files you upload to the Service.
Age Requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or guardian to use the Service.
Intellectual Property Rights
Our Content
The Service and its original content (excluding user files), features, and functionality are owned by Free Media Tools and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Our trademarks, logos, and service marks may not be used without our prior written permission.
Your Files
You retain all rights to the files you process using our Service. We do not claim any ownership rights to your files. Since all processing happens in your browser, we never have access to your files.
Open Source
Our Service uses open-source libraries including FFmpeg.wasm, pdf-lib, and others. These libraries are used in accordance with their respective licenses.
Disclaimers and Limitations
"As Is" Service
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- •Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- •Warranties that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- •Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of results
No Guarantee of Results
While we strive to provide accurate and reliable tools, we do not guarantee that:
- •Processed files will meet your specific requirements
- •File processing will be successful in all cases
- •The Service will work on all devices or browsers
- •All features will be available at all times
File Backup Responsibility
⚠️ Important Warning
Always keep backup copies of your original files before processing them. While our tools are designed to work correctly, we are not responsible for any data loss, corruption, or quality degradation that may occur during file processing.
Third-Party Content
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Free Media Tools and its creators, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- •Loss of profits, data, or use
- •Loss of goodwill or business opportunities
- •File corruption, data loss, or quality degradation
- •Costs of procurement of substitute services
- •Any damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
In no event shall our total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount you paid to use the Service (which is zero, as the Service is free).

Termination

- •Attempts to interfere with or damage the Service
- •Any other reason at our sole discretion
Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. Since we do not store your files, termination does not affect any files you have already processed.
Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If negotiations fail, disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Karachi, Pakistan.
Changes to Service
We reserve the right to:
- •Modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
- •Add, remove, or modify features and functionality
- •Change pricing (currently free, but may introduce paid features in the future)
- •Update these Terms at any time
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service.
Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and other policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and Free Media Tools regarding the Service.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign or transfer these Terms without restriction.
