How the Add Text to Image works
Text is drawn onto your image with the HTML canvas API. You can add several text layers, each with its own font, size, colour, bold/italic style and an outline (stroke) colour, and drag them into position on the preview.
The meme-style default (Impact with a dark outline) stays readable on any background because the outline separates the letters from busy photos. The final image is rendered at full original resolution, not at preview size.

On a 1080 × 1080 Instagram image, a 72 px white caption with a black outline remains legible even over grass or a crowd. Add a second, smaller layer (for example 32 px) for a credit or handle in a corner.
Tips for the best result
- Font size is in image pixels: on a 4000 px wide photo you need much larger text than on a 1080 px image.
- White text with a dark outline (or the reverse) works on almost any background.
